PrintHow does the rota work?
Each successful pre-reg applicant is allocated a base hospital where approximately half the year is spent training in dispensing, medicines information,some clinical studies and completing a practice based project and audit.
The remaining six months are devoted to gaining experience within specialist areas in Camden and Islington as a whole eg. the Royal Free production unit, community services pharmacy with the Community NHS Trust (including 4 weeks cross sector placement with either Boots the chemistor a local independent pharmacy), a two week clinical course based at UCLH,Quality assurance,Procurement and distribution and radiopharmacy.
