Camden and Islington Pharmacy Service incorporates the pharmacy departments of four NHS trusts :
- University College London Hospitals (UCLH)
- The Royal Free Hospital
- The Whittington Hospital
- Camden and Islington Community NHS Trust
The pharmacy service overall is managed by the Pharmacy Services Manager, John Farrell who ensures cooperation and rationalisation of specialist services across the four sites , thus avoiding unnecessary duplication of work. In addition it means that pre-registration graduates have access to a diverse, extensive, extremely comprehensive and interesting practical training package during their year.
All our hospitals are teaching or university associated hospitals and our pharmacy departments are very clinically orientated. We provide all the clinical specialities that would be expected in a group of hospitals of this size, and have specialist pharmacists attached to most of these.
